Integrated Health Care

Integrated Health Care

Pediatric Associates of Durango provides integrated healthcare. This means that our various health professionals work together as a team, combining our parts into a working whole, to provide the best possible healthcare for you and your family. We believe that involves paying attention not only to physical health, but also to emotional health, habits, and behaviors that affect overall wellness. Behavioral health specialists are part of our team, and the goal is for all of us to work together to ensure a happy, healthy, thriving child and family.

Dr. Kristine Dangremond directs the Affinity Therapy’s Psychiatry Program. She provides comprehensive care for adults, children and teens struggling with a wide variety of issues. Our approach to psychiatry respects each individual or family’s own goals and values. We strongly believe in a holistic approach to medication management that acknowledges the impact of personal history, medical history and lifestyle on mental health. For some issues; such as ADHD, medication is considered a highly effective first-line treatment. For others, therapy is often utilized before making a decision about medication. In either case, we will always be transparent about our professional recommendation, but respect a family’s decision and tailor treatment to fit those wishes.
